    ————————–

The purest sound is from a bass drum with two full heads, for Depth.

The best feel is to play a bass drum that air can flow out of, for Woof.

The best amplification is from mic’ing some sound but more-so the air that can puff out of a bass drum.

The ROCHE-PORT solution is to capture the best combination of sound and air movement, for Detail and Woof. Or,,, DOOF!

Hear this set up in video below using 6, 8, 10, 14 and a 16 inch kick with a ROCHE-PORT through a sub’.

EVEN IN A 16 INCH BASS DRUM! Small to transport and gig with.

Two full heads lasts best and can sound huge using a ROCHE PORT.

Please see and hear the video examples below!

ROCHE-PORT is small, out of the way and energetic singers won’t kick the mic stand over that would previously be in front of a bass drum.

Any mic can work with the puff of air from the ROCHE-PORT.

The ROCHE-PORT is intentionally small enough so a mic is not placed inside the drum, as that is the most chaotic pressure a mic could encounter and that’s why sound checks take so long.

The ROCHE-PORT efficiency should make sound checks take 30 seconds to get a great kick sound.

Get Real about evaluating sound characteristics of any head combination. It is truly enabled through the ROCHE-PORT without cutting holes through front heads, which will ruin a head investment and sound comparison, or, head comparison and sound investment.

FLOOR TOM BLEED FOR KICKS! At any time where just the kick is mic’ed, the depths of a low-EQ’d kick mic are the best frequencies for floor toms too! Hear the result through the PA! Any size kick drum usually has floor toms near it. Angle the mic to pick up more, less, or none at all.

The ROCHE-PORT mic position is ideal, you can check on it cos it’s viewable, adjust if necessary cos it’s reachable!

Also supplied in the ROCHE-PORT Bass Drum Packaging is a punch for venting the rear head for more feel and power adjustment.

The ROCHE-PORT MIC STAND is perfectly suited for the preferred position of the port and is stable enough, small and packs up smaller for you to be completely prepared for gigs yourself.

Amplification aside, you can hear how rich a bass drum can sound in rehearsals and acoustic gigs with two full heads and best of all, because the kick sound is full and without that weird harmonic sound of a skin with a hole cut in it, nothing needs to be placed inside the drum, so even more tone is available while being tidy of appearance without deadening junk being stuffed inside. That said and choking technique aside, a short funkier, internally muffled sound maybe what you’re after and that funky sound is directed toward the mic through the Roche-Port also!

Win Win, Win Win, Win Win Win!

Please enjoy video introduction below as well as gig video examples using the ROCHE-PORT to hear how the sound works in a live context.

It’s fun, cos it sounds better than you think it’s going to! Lol. Join the club!
